How I Use It

I incorporated Flipgrid into my English Pronunication Teaching. I created Grids named Prounication 2 with many topics. Each topic is a homework assignment with customed rubic. This Edtech tool augmented my students' engagement and practice in pronunication learning. My teaching Pronunication faces some challenges, namely uneven engagement in class, limited practice time, few feedbacks from instructors. The implentation of Flipgrid can clear these problems. Particularly, it allowed me to provide personal feedback and new learning experiences to the student and allowed my students to give responses to their peers in ways that are hardly possible in the confines of a classroom.

My Take

I highly recommend this Edtech tool to teach languages. I advocate for this tool because it can increase in student engagement, work well as a formative assessment tool, and create student digital portfolios. Especially, Immersive Reader is combined in Flipgrid, so all-age students can learn with Flipgrid. My students get more engaged in their learning. Their voices are promoted, so they take ownership of their learning. Flipgrid helps gauge class engagement time. However, I would like to knowe how much time each student invest into their learning. I hope this will be launched soon by Microsoft teams.
