No interactivity but extremely good real-world scenarios to supplement you content.

How I Use It
I use this as part of my repertoire of technology integration resources even though students do not interact with the computer when making use of the PDF files of real-world scenarios applicable to math. The practicality of the website is that pre-service and/or in-service teachers have access to good materials that could supplement what they already have AND they do not have to create the real-world scenarios themselves. Those provided in the Figure This website are quite good and include answer keys; so a good teacher can bring each scenario to life.
My Take
Real-world scenarios are excellent when asking students to apply concepts learned. However, "Figure This: Math Challenges for Families" is text-based which means no interactivity, no sound, no multimedia (although PowerPoint presentation is included), and no feedback. As such, ELL students and low literacy students will need a great deal of support. A good teacher can make the scenarios interesting and even exciting, so using it as supplemental materials would work, especially since a large portion of the PDF files are available in Spanish also. Not as exciting as other websites, but definitely prepares students for items on standardized tests.
