How Can Teachers Use It?

These high school-level math gizmos are content-heavy, as well as an engaging way for kids to visualize difficult math concepts. Like Gizmos' other modules, they're organized by content area, including Number & Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis & Probability. Some gizmos can be used in one of three different formats: Lab, Lecture, or Worksheet. Lab format is best for small group work, Lecture format is ideal for whole-class instruction (this is important if only one computer is available), and Worksheet format is great for independent student work. Most other gizmos could work well as think-pair-share activities. Kids can work individually to complete the Prior Knowledge questions on the Student Exploration Sheets, explore the gizmo, then take the assessment. Afterward, they can share their results with a partner and compare responses.
