How I Use It
I have shown students this product as a place to store items for review offline, save their notes, share their work and many other uses. I have also used voice memos to review student work. I use Evernote personally and at work. I use the paid app for my personal use and the free app at work. Their isn't much of a difference between the free app and the paid app. The long set up time for student use is getting them logged in to the app. I like that I can use Evernote on a computer through a browser, using the application, on an iphone, an android phone, my iPad, or any device I want. I also have a Livescribe pen I sync with it.
My Take
I used Evernote in class so students could compare tools for learning. I have used it myself for many years. I make folders for student work and take pictures of their screens and save them for reminders to myself. I also have students send me shared work and I respond with voice memos. Each time I think Evernote couldn't be better, they come out with an update! I absolutely love Evernote. I also use all the tools that are with it: Skitch, Penultimate, Web Clipper, and Food.
