How I Use It

Engrade is a great tool to keep track of classwork, homework and test grades, as well as seating charts, attendance and correspondence. It allows you to record all the data in one place and access it from anywhere and includes Common Core Standards and your assessment information. It also allows parents to access this data to ensure they are aware of their child's progress. Easy accessibility to this information makes parent-teacher communication and conferences more focused because the parent is already aware of the grades, etc.

My Take

As with any online tool, you will have some issues such as parents not checking their child's account and parents who do not have internet access, although, it is accessible via smart phone browser. While I like the ability to access the site from any computer, I have not yet found a way to import the information into our mandatory, City-Wide, report card system. Engrade also has other tools that I have not yet explored, but look promising, and allow you to target instruction based on student data.
