How I Use It
Edmodo is an effective tool of communication between teachers, students, and parents. I have been using Edmodo for three years so far. I started by creating my account and then I created my groups. I asked my students to create their own accounts using the class code. I used Edmodo to upload assignments and homework to my students. Edmodo is a good opportunity to the teacher to receive students’ work submissions and give immediate and constructive feedback. In addition, it is an opportunity to keep me connected with parents and students for a better cooperation. I used Edmodo to send short notices and announcements to my students to plan for coming sessions. Edmodo is good also for students to store information and use them when needed. I used also Edmodo to take attendance and build my own quizzes. Edmodo is used also to enhance online conversations and discussions between students about the different topics we deal with them in class. In addition, I used Edmodo to import quizzes from Edmodo library and use more Edmodo Apps which helped promote my students’ learning.
Edmodo is an excellent tool to build a good and fruitful communication between teachers and their students as well parents. I liked Edmodo as it helps teachers work more effectively through uploading assignments and other work to their students and send notices and announcements to parents. What I loved in Edmodo is the opportunity to organize work through taking attendance and storing students’ data. I liked the idea that students can lead online discussions and conversations between each other. Edmodo is an interesting tool also to launch surveys to students to contribute to their learning scheme.
Edmodo is good as it helps teachers build closer and positive relationship not only with their students, but also with their parents.
