My Take

When first exploring digital learning platforms, I was introduced to Edmodo. It was highly suggested by our school's technology department. I had heard of many success stories from teachers that had used Edmodo, so I was anxious to give it a try! However, I found that it did not include all of the features I was looking for in a platform. I see why some users enjoy the "look of Facebook", but found that it was only as useful as Facebook itself. I spent a lot of time reviewing expectations with students, but found that a majority of their time was spent changing profile icons and chatting with peers via comments. I have had much more success with other learning platforms.
