How I Use It
I use edmodo as my class website for all the courses I teach. It has a smartphone app, a feature my students love. When I post notes to edmodo, students can add them to their "backpack" and allows them to review notes while commuting to school or relaxing at home. It allows for notifications also, so if I post something new, or add a new practice quiz, students get the notification live on their phone. Edmond also has a garbed feature, so you can grade assignments online. In addition, Edmodo has a really nice Quiz posting feature. Students get immediate feedback on their grade. I, as a teacher, get a great data set that allows me to assess how many students had difficulty with each question. Edmond is a very easy website to use, and looks similar to Facebook so students are very comfortable with it.
My Take
I can't recommend Edmodo enough. It has so many different features, and all for free. Every teacher should have an account here.
