How I Use It
In my class, I have set up shared folders with students. I have use a discussion board, post and collect assignments, set up auto-graded quizzes and tests, use a poll for the students to respond to when they enter the classroom.
I love being able to have all students need to respond to questions with the option for me to approve of their work before publishing it to the discussion blog. This engages all students and holds them accountable for learning yet provides an opportunity to see fellow student responses when the time is more appropriate to share.
When I grade assignments, I can write comments on the student work and still have a copy of my notes. All of the grades are automatically recorded and entered into the grade book feature. Students can see their scores immediately. Teachers have many options that can help them manage quizzes, tests, and assignments.
Because students get alerts about assignments that are due, missing, or late, it takes some responsibility off of the teacher for managing make-up work for large classes. Students can’t lose digital assignments like they can lose assignments on papers.
