How I Use It
This is mainly my vehicle for posting homework and connections for extended learning. I found out that our district requires its teachers to moderate all discussions, which can get VERY cumbersome (thanks FERPA). You can quickly get overwhelmed deciding whose posts to approve and who to delete. But those who are tech savvy compete fiercely for the badges and it can facilitate small group dynamics.
My Take
This is an excellent way to incorporate social media and learning for those creating a blended learning environment. Kids have access to the websites, files and apps you want them to have in a friendly, kid-safe environment.
