How I Use It
I use it for my technology students grades 5-8. I create an assignment description and assign it to my classes. Students then log into Edmodo and turn in their assignments. The assignments can be Word documents, PowerPoints, image files, etc. My only problem is that some students press the Turn In button but fail to attach the file. Or they forget their passwords!
My Take
Edmodo is appealing to students because it looks and feels like facebook and they think it is "cool." Edmodo is appealing to teachers because it allows us to create assignments and collect work in one place.
