How I Use It
Starting in 5th grade at my K-8 public school, every students gets their own account. Since we a Google Education App school we were thrilled when EasyBib linked directly to GoogleDrive. Since I am the research teacher, I integrate the learning and use of EasyBib directly into the 5th graders first major research project of the year in early Fall. In 5th grade I focus strictly on the bibliography part of the tool integrating sound research strategies and ethics. This builds on my 4th grade lessons where plagiarism and simple bibliographies were first introduced in any detail.
My Take
Of all the citation tools I have seen, EasyBib remains the most robust and user friendly. Account based and cloud access make it the ideal tool for my increasing mobile students. The new mobile interface (not an app) and the new "Create Title Page" feature have made it even better. It is very important to have teachers understand the product and the importance of attribution starting in elementary school.
