How I Use It
I use Diigo to list websites that are beneficial and useful for students and teachers. One of the best features is that you can use tag words to find categories or specific content areas that you need resources for. Teachers can use it to share useful websites with other teachers. It is a great tool when you can't remember the exact website you used the year prior, or you have a big event coming up, like Veteran's Day, that you would like to find resources for. Students can share great websites they find with their teacher, or fellow classmates. Sometimes the students come across sites that are really great to share!
I really like the idea of having a collective resource that a whole school can use. We all use great websites and resources each day that would be helpful for other teachers and students, too. We also have had that moment where we couldn't recall a website's specific address that we would like to use, and time is of the essence.
Something I would like Diigo to add is a webpage thumbnail preview that would show up. Sometimes we know it when we see it.
