How I Use It
I created a stack for a specific class. Whenever I sent a tweet with the class hashtag it was saved in the Delicious stack. This way I was able to save tweets for each semester per class. The links are grouped into Delicious tags. In turn tags can be assigned to tag bundles like this one: https://delicious.com/smachaje/tag_bundle/Web%20Development%20Course# I used the system to document ideas and findings related to the course. The system helped students to review course content and reinforce learning. Students retained access to the public link collection after the course was over.
My Take
Delicious is a great tool for tracking web resources. It lends itself to group projects and collections created for the entire class. It is a social bookmarking system. I find Delicious to be like breadcrumbs of a research project. Each web resource is logged and can be preserved for future review. Projects can include the creation of the link collections or a review of the content. I enjoyed the ease of the bookmarking. Delicious allows for scriptlets and other integrations in the browser. The convenience of the process is important.
