How I Use It
I used the 20 hour of code course last year as a introduction to programming for students who had no experience with programming at all. Student's really loved seeing their progress as did I. The program charts how they are progressing in an easy to read line graph as well as showing you levels completed. Student's also loved being able to work at their own pace. Student's who progressed quickly loved helping their classmates out when they got stuck.
My Take
Overall, I think this is a great teaching tool. What I liked was the combination of unplugged activities with online activities. The videos were also very helpful for the students. I like that there is a way for students to see the real code behind what they are doing. A bit more explanation about the real code would be a great addition.
