How I Use It
I use Class Dojo as a tool to teach, model, and incentivize positive classroom behaviors, as well as to track student participation and communicate with parents about student progress. Every positive behavior is awarded a point whereas non-constructive behaviors result in the lass of a point. I use this tool with a tablet as well as a computer and print reports to send home with parents each week. Students latched on to the system and enjoy its game-like design.
Class Dojo is an excellent way of both concretizing classroom management for both students and teachers and also making the process of teaching and learning fun and engaging. Class Dojo has an easy to use interface, and is highly customizable to meet the needs of individual teachers' classrooms.
One area I would like to see Class Dojo add features to is the customizable avatars. I think that there could be in-built rewards that could perhaps be reflected by avatar customization options.
