How I Use It
I would refer to specific content contained within the Flexbook textbooks, which offers many suggestions from higher order thinking to differentiation. I can use this product as an additional tool to manage classroom assignments and monitor who has successfully completed them. The PLIX is limited in its simulations and I would probably use PHET as a more productive simulator.
This free teaching tool is very user friendly with a library of various assignments and interactive programs. I find the the Flexbook and well thought out lectures with practice problems to be the most beneficial. As such, I can use this information to complement my own teaching. To encourage blended learning, the PLIX Corner (in the Cafe) offer the student a chance to see online how other students answered the same inquiry. or the student can pose a question to the same online community. The main limitation with PLIX is in their simulations. They are somewhat rudimentary and at times, not that informative.
