How I Use It
Most teachers love BrainPOP just for the videos that both entertain and explain in way that wonderfully simplifies complex topics. The site expands on this though with many other tools including online games, worksheets, full lesson plans aligned to common core standards, a mental map tool, info extensions, built-in quizzes, and quizzes you can make yourself
My Take
This site can function as an all-in-one stop for engaging and informative lessons. There is a massive amount of topics. Alternately there related sites like BrainPOP Jr. and BrainPOP ESL for students who need more specific scaffolding. This is definitely one of my go-to sites for setting up entertaining lessons for any elementary class. The downside is that it is a subscription site, but there are always some videos available for free.
