How I Use It
I see this as an all-encompassing knowledge builder. With the addition of "My Brainpop" paid subscribers can build classes and have feedback on how their students are doing on quizzes, games and other parts of BrainPop. BrainPop provides access to Primary Source Documents as well as the ever-engaging Tim and Moby Videos.
My Take
BrainPop works as a teaching tool because it is engaging, of course, but it is deeper than one would expect. Building KWL charts, creating quizzes, and using it as a source of reliable information is astounding. Middle school kids still like Tim and Moby, so I wouldn't just use it at the elementary level - and a lot of the content is applicable even to grades 9 & 10. Primary source documents alone for the upper grades, in my opinion, make this useful to all ages in a school district!
