How Can Teachers Use It?

BrainPOP Jr.'s Social Studies module is a collection of clever videos and content for younger kids. Videos are divided into several sections, from American history and ancient history to biographies, holidays, economics, geography, and more. Kids and teachers can sort videos by topic or choose to view them one by one. Each one comes with video-specific links to lesson ideas, activities, quizzes, games, and background info. The site lists the videos and lessons that are Common Core aligned.

A few of the videos, like the one on U.S. Symbols, are free, but you'll need a subscription to view the majority of content on the site. However, teachers can freely access a section about best practices, as well as an extensive FAQ page; both of these add tremendous value to the site.
