Teacher Review for BrainPOP Jr.: Reading & Writing

Relatively low-priced, great videos to teach writing in lower grades!

How I Use It
Since I work in an independent study-based program, this application functions as an extension to the one-on-one tutorial-based support that tales place in our virtual school's computer lab. In a comprehensive setting I would recommend this as a refresher or an introductory video that is likely to engage a number of students while solidifying basic concepts for all. I do not encourage teachers to rely upon the videos as a method for comprehensively teaching specific subject-matter-related topics.
My Take
Personally, I find the "cartoon" presentations to be fairly humorous/corny and again, I think it can be a great way to introduce and/or review information, though I do not believe it's comprehensive in nature. Teachers can effectively use these videos and interactive activities in a judicious manner when basing their lesson-revisions upon student scores.
