How I Use It
I have been using Book Creator with my special education students of many different cognitive, writing, and reading abilities. I find that Bookcreator offers a form of expression and creativity for everyone, regardless of writing or reading ability. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who is four years old, but everyone above five, definitely. There is a slight learning curve, just like all other new pieces of technology. What was great about Book Creator were to options that students had in order to display their learning. They could write a paragraph, record a video, take a picture, upload a picture from the internet, upload a video from Youtube and they could use voice to text, if they were non-writers, I absolutely love it. There was one glitch that some of my students experienced with Book Creator, students with iPads didn't have the option to use voice to text for some reason, I'm not sure why.
My Take
My overall opinion of Book Creator is that it is an amazing tool for students and teachers to have in their toolbox, as long as you have internet service, to which all of my students have access. I found that you are able to assign students, in template format, assignments of all subjects. I just absolutely love the ease of use and simplicity of the design.
