How I Use It
We are currently using it with HS students to organise their SEAL (Emotional Learning) tasks together. We were looking for a different platform from the usual Google Doc or Padlet that we usually go to, and this was a way to encourage their individuality and creativity and make the task more enjoyable.
It has become a good reflective time, and we now play music while they are writing in their SEAL journal or assessing goals etc. I am able to follow their work in real time, so it's nice to give feedback as we're going, even just commenting on a colourful cover page or an interesting layout for a task.
It's a great teaching tool. It has really improved in the last year or so, as before it seemed restrictive and there were a lot of 'it would be great if it could...' I feel as though Book Creator heard this feedback and acted on it.
The Beauty of Book Creator is its simplicity, so I hope it doesn't feel the need to becoming all singing and all dancing, adding too many bells and whistles - sometimes simple is all we need!
