How I Use It
My students used this to create study guides for literature quizzes and tests. They kept track of story plot events, and sequencing which in turn provided pictures to help with memory issues. The product allowed the students to create visuals to enhance learning, understanding and remembering of events in the stories they were reading. By giving them time to bring words to life through pictures, many of my special needs learners were able to grasp the plot and cause and effect events in literature more easily. Reading chapter books is always a challenge, and remembering the sequence of events is a difficult task for many. These quick pictures, along with their own summaries, gave the students an opportunity to keep events in order, and gave them a better tool for studying.
The tool worked great for the students as an independent way for them to develop a study guide for literature. I liked the fact that the kids that state that they can't draw, or have motor issues, can use this tool easily. This tool is great for differentiating instruction for lower level students.
