How I Use It
This website is great for an Anatomy or Biology class. As a teacher, I can project this on my screen and virtually dissect any area of the human body. You can display multiple systems, zoom in on specific areas, and pinpoint specific organs. Students are more engaged with the striking graphics and accessibility tools like audible pronunciations for specific parts make it a great tool for ELL and struggling readers.
Biodigital Human provides you with a 3D view of the human body. You are able to select which systems you want to display and rotate the view. The graphics are visually striking and the ability to pinpoint which areas of the human body you want to view is very easy. The free version is somewhat limited and only allows you to view the systems and the information on each system. There is a paid version which I have not signed up for, but it allows you to take snapshots of specific areas, save cross sections, and create tests. One downside is that it takes 5-10 minutes (depending on your connection speed) to start up.
