How I Use It
My students use Big Brainz to practice the their basic math facts for all four operations-addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students can use Big Brainz at home or at school. It's very simple for students to begin using and takes minimal management once the program is up and running. I have a wide range of abilities in my class so it really helps with differentiation. Some reviewer say Big Brainz is basically just a flashcard program. I disagree, students using Big Brainz will learn much faster than students using flashcards. Subitizing is the ability to recognize a small group of objects without counting. It is a fundamental skill in the development of number sense and it's one of the features I like most about Big Brainz.
My students have encountered several bugs that have taken the Imagine Math Team some time to resolve but customer service has really improved lately!
Big Brainz has been acquired by Imagine Math so it can be confusing to find the most updated version/URL. Check out the latest version here: https://bigbrainz.com/login/
