How I Use It
Signing up for an account takes just a few minutes, and then you are instantly accessing master teachers lesson plans on a topic you enter. Finding lessons is just a few clicks away, but beware, you can get lost on this site. I also look at ideas a few grade levels beyond what I teach. Many of the lessons are creative and have resources such as power points, quizzes and interactive whiteboard lessons you can download. I was discouraged that a few of the lessons just had a boring worksheet as an activity. However, this site certainly has a lot to offer and teachers do not have to recreate the wheel.
This would be a great resource for a team to use when building activities to use in a unit. Many, but not all, of the resources I found were common core aligned for language arts. This would be something to recommend to both a new teacher as well as someone with experience as a tool to use when planning instruction to both a small group or a whole group. Seeing how other master teachers teach a topic, certainly gives you ideas that you can easily incorporate. The educational material is easy to download and adapt if needed. By adding ideas to your collection for a unit, you could easily differentiate your lesson to meet the needs of all learners.
