How I Use It

Audacity is on all of our school computers. A great, free tool. Students can record and edit programs that can be used on our student internet radio station or to be posted on blogs and sites. The ease of editing (trimming, cutting, etc.) files is fantastic while the ability to get into more serious audio editing is there for those wanting it. This tool is also great because students can install it on their own laptops.

My Take

There are some complicated steps like installing separate plug ins for features such as exporting as an MP3 file, but generally this tool is fantastic for student creation. They love the flexibility it provides them to be creative.
