How I Use It
I have used ABCya several times within my classroom. It is a great tool for reviewing lessons already taught, such as letters/sounds, high frequency words and alphabetical order. These skills are learned early in the Kindergarten year. I have used it with both large and small groups. The students enjoy being able to interact with the site via the classroom Promethean Board. During the holidays, they enjoy the activities as well.
My Take
I feel that ABCya is a wonderful tool as a review. I like the inviting look of all the activities. It keeps the students interested in the site. I wouldn't necessarily use it as a teaching tool to introduce a new lesson, but definitely have found it useful as a fun review.
