How I Use It
Since I teach students in grades Kindergarten through 5th, this is a great way to differentiate the literacy instruction for my younger learners and to help my older learners catch up if the are behind. Each student is able to log in on their own computers, which is great once the teacher has logged in once on each device.
I like the fact that each students can have their own specialized lesson that goes according to their pace and their needs. It also provides a a lot of different activities to keep students engaged, such as videos, games, puzzles, coloring, etc. However, it is very difficult and time consuming to set up for multiple students. Also, I find that unless you are on top of the kids, the computer does not prompt them to go to more challenging levels (e.g., levels 1, 2 or 3 on puzzles) and sometimes students figure out how to just get through an activity (e.g., fast forward through the videos) in order to get to the tickets.
