Making Digital Citizenship Interactive with Nearpod

Wednesday, October 21, 2015 - 1:00-2:00 pm PDT

How can you make teaching digital citizenship more interactive, with real-time feedback from students? Common Sense Education’s K-12 Digital Citizenship curriculum is now available on Nearpod, which combines interactive activities, assessments, and real-time feedback from Nearpod. Nearpod is an award-winning digital lesson platform for interactive, multimedia classroom instruction. In this webinar, you’ll get an introduction to Common Sense’s Digital Citizenship Curriculum, including the topics, background research, and Scope and Sequence, and how it’s delivered on Nearpod. You’ll hear why teachers love using Nearpod to teach this curriculum, including the great features and functions of the platform, and how you can use it with students. Best of all, learn how school librarians can receive access to this curriculum for free!

Celebrate Digital Citizenship Week (Oct 18-24) by attending this live, interactive webinar, and commit to empowering your students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in their digital lives! There will be a Q&A session after the presentation. This webinar will benefit teachers, librarians/media specialists, tech coordinators, curriculum specialists, and TOSAs.

Presented by Sara Heaps, Head of Content for Nearpod; Joshua Tappan, Professional Development Manager for Nearpod; and Kelly Mendoza, Senior Manager of Professional Development for Common Sense Education.

This webinar is hosted on the Digital Citizenship community on edWeb, where educators can participate in online discussions with peers, receive invitations to upcoming webinars, view past webinar recordings, and take a quiz and receive a CE certificate for a past webinar
