About Me

I am currently a media specialist/librarian at Forestbrook Middle School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I am a certified teacher and hold a Master's degree in Education with additional certification in Library Science. I was a former seventh grade language arts teacher but I chose to advance to a library position in 2010. Besides my work in the library, I am also the technology lead for my school, and am actively involved in committees and clubs within the school including the technology discipline committee, principal's cabinet, and I am an assistant coach for the school robotics team. This year 1-1 devices were integrated into the curriculum and I created a student group that I am working with to become student tech specialists to assist teachers and students within the classroom.
