Mary Beth teaches high school students to think critically about incorporating technology into their learning. She has a passion for using technology in meaningful ways for learning and prefers to have the tech in her students' hands rather than her own. She has mentored an all-girls robotics club and a dozen computer fair projects and is a strong believer in the power of technology to help kids discover and pursue their passions. She was named an ISTE Emerging Leader in 2010, and she's a regular blogger at Edutopia, focusing on technology integration. She's also a co-organizer of Edcamp Philly and is the treasurer of the Edcamp Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting free, participant-driven professional development for educators. Mary Beth enjoys reading both fiction and books on pedagogy and education reform, and she loves to tinker and build things. She is a graduate of Oberlin College, where she studied French and African-American studies, and she holds a master's degree in technology integration from St Joseph's University.
