I had been a passionate teacher of 6th grade students in the Fairbury Public School system for many years. This last school year, I was hired as the technology Integration Specialist for FPS. I absolutely LOVE it! It has been a great year working with teachers and students as we implemented a 1:1 program in our district. I have also been an adjunct faculty member of Doane College which is now Doane University.
I love to teach, and integrating technology just makes it even more fun! Along with technology, biking and camping are my passions. I have been married for 33 years to Stephen Dux. Instead of being passionate about technology and bikes, he is passionate about raising pigs:)
My son, Jordan, is the Director of National Affairs for the Farm Bureau in Lincoln. He has been married for 7 years to my daughter in law, Melissa, who teaches business at Fairbury. Jordan and Melissa live in Beatrice. Two years ago they added to their family. My first grandchild, Emma Lynn Dux was born June 4th 2014. She is the joy of my life.
My son, Thomas, graduated from UNL with a degree in Ag Education. He taught for 4 years in Mead, Nebraska. Last year he married Kristina Hake. He also accepted a job to teach Ag Education in Fairbury. It has been wonderful working with my son and daughter in law.
