About Me

Bekah Hightower graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in 2007. She began her career in education teaching middle school computers and high school videography in Oklahoma City. She left the classroom to pursue her Master’s degree in instructional technology at The University of Oklahoma. Ms. Hightower graduated in December 2013 with her Master’s degree in educational psychology and instructional technology. While taking classes she also worked for the K20 Center as a Graduate Research Assistant providing professional development for Norman Public Schools’ Intelligent Classroom initiative. Ms. Hightower has also developed several workshops for pre-service teachers at The University of Oklahoma on how to integrate the iPad into a variety of classroom lessons. Beyond offering workshops at The University of Oklahoma Rebekah has presented numerous sessions at conferences across the state of Oklahoma on the best practices of technology integration into the classroom. Ms. Hightower has now joined the Bishop McGuinness staff as a full time technology integration specialist, supporting teachers to incorporate technology into lessons.
