I work for Student Support Services in Cabell County, WV. I do have a classroom and I do teach but my job is so much more. I teach in a different setting where drop-out prevention is our primary focus.

Our program is divided into three areas under drop-out prevention: Pregnancy Program, Homebound Instruction, and Drop-Out Reentry. It is my goal to help those students who are in danger of leaving school, to get back on track and graduate.

I enjoy my students and I view each as a new challenge. I love being part of the process where students have given up hope and can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am a mother of a very active teenage daughter who keeps me very busy but makes me so proud to be her mother. I recently married a wonderful man with two children and I feel like my life is complete.
