I am currently in my 16th year of teaching. Most of those years have been spent teaching second grade. Eight years into my tenure, I served as the Teacher on Special Assignment for Technology at my site, working in the school's computer lab. For four years, I served as a Reading First coach, working with K-3 teachers and students. An additional two years were spent as an Intervention Teacher/Coach, working with students in small and large groups, as well as continuing to provide demo lessons and assistance to teachers in the area of reading instruction. I have recently returned to the classroom to teach second grade. This is my first year in a 1:1 setting with iPads. I am a Teacher Consultant with the UC Merced Writing Project.
