I am in the second half of my first decade of teaching Language Arts in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I have survived thus far by way of a strong sense of humor and knowing the Internet could save me. I have three sons at home along with being the neighborhood animal shelter, so keeping hard copies at home is not ideal. Working digitally has kept me organized and my work stain-free. I scour the Internet for support materials, videos, and different lesson ideas anytime I feel a lesson is going stale or just isn't hitting its mark with a particular group of kids. I've even done this in the middle of class (it's a great way to teach students how to properly use a search engine).
