While my recent educational experience is that of a technology resource teacher, with an emphasis on interactive whiteboard trainings, I am currently a classroom teacher working in the Juvenile Court and Community Schools in San Diego County. I teach a blended independent study class with a heavy emphasis on the use of technology. Although my students now range from 9th-12th grade, I also have over eight years of experience teaching elementary school to foster youth students. My current students have often been expelled from their traditional high schools and are in need of credit recovery, making the infusion of technology a great asset. Additionally, I teach for the Leading Edge Certification program, which helps to train teachers to become quality online and blended educators.
