I have been a teacher for 14 years. I left briefly to sample administration for 2 years but quickly returned to the classroom. I love my job. I've worked with all grade levels. I have 10 years experience as an itinerant teacher, so was able to visit several regular education classrooms where my students were mainstreamed. I loved seeing the variety of teacher approaches. I have witnessed classrooms with unlimited technology availability to classrooms with nothing. I can say from experience technology does make a positive impact on student achievement. I am always looking for ways to make technology, especially videos, accessible for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. I believe it is impossible to do everything myself, so I look for ways to collaborate and trade expertise with other teachers in the field. Together we can make a difference.
