My Take
I am mixed about this app, because it is such a different app, compared to other math apps, but it is challenging. It's similar to a game show app where you pick the topic and score points. Also, it might refer to things that kids don't know or can't imagine - the challenging part - so even if you know it and are close, it's hard to hit the bullseye.
It does address estimation and measurement, one of the only math apps that has either.
How I Use It
I would use this in partners. It is a difficult game and I think that talking through the questions would help students out. A few kids on their own would easily fail, but if they had help, then they would do well with this app. It's great for estimating!

Engaging way for students to learn estimation which is a hard skill to tackle!
The tool works well as a review and learning tool, and also applies to gifted students where it can challenge them with both solving problems and creating them in the easy to understand app. The application is engaging and keeps students moving through a variety of questions -- all of which apply to national standards. As a teacher I would like a bit more control over the sequence of questions asked, but I feel strongly that the application is a good enough tool that random questioning works well here.
National Common Core Standards ask us to help students meet the standard of:
Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
This program does this in multistep problems which engage students and bring critical thinking to the forefront of each exercise.
