This is a great tool for specific learning targets. Sometimes, the 'games' are labeled incorrectly or inappropriately for the subject or grade level. I have also found some 'games' less engaging than others.
This is a go-to tool for me to compile information and have students access it, all while feeling like they are playing.
How I Use It
PowerMyLearning is an excellent way to introduce or reinforce a subject/topic. There are options for almost any subject and grade level, and the mini-games/videos are fun, engaging and informational. I assign playlists to reinforce learning such as equivalent fractions or mixed numbers and fractions. To review for large standardized tests, building a playlist for specific standards is easy and quick. Students can access these games repeatedly.
