My Take
This site really keeps young students engaged. The characters are familiar to them and they love having choice of characters to play.
How I Use It
I use this site to teach basic computer use as well as reinforce letter and number recognition. The students love having a choice to select their favorite character. The students think of it as play time they don't even know they are learning.

PBS kids is an engaging way to help my special education students learn!
I have a self-contained special education classroom with 6-8th graders who have moderate disabilities. Although some of the activities are age-inappropriate for my students, we are able to use a variety of different activities on the site to practice our literacy and mathematics skills.
