My Take

Kodable is pretty thorough and is a good entry point for students (and for their teachers who may not know where to start teaching this big thing everyone calls 'coding'). It offers lessons that you can select or a very extensive progression.

How I Use It

I would only use Kodable with younger students (their intended audience). When I used it recently with a group of Grade 3 students, I did a quick intro on some coding concepts and then selected one of Kodable's easier activities to illustrate the concept (in this case looping). I had students explore for a few minutes, and then we stopped for a short discussion about how the loops functioned and where we can see loops in other devices/online activities the use.
