Community Review for Journey North
My Take
I love Journey North empowers kids to go beyond the classroom and to connect with the subject. They see why migrations happen, they see why habitats need to be preserved, they interact with other classes around the world doing the same research.
How I Use It
I've used several projects from Journey North including Mystery Class, Symbolic Monarch Migration, and the Tulip Gardens. My favorite though is Mystery Class. It's almost like a year long game of hide and seek. Students take real ownership of their part of the project and love that I don't have the answers. The project has kids using math, science, geography, and writing to find the answers.
