Ideal for FA or SPED teachers.

The goal of Grammar Ninja is for children to practice their parts of speech and refine their skills. However, it lacks allowing children to identify the speech word examples on their own. It does not challenge them in ways to help with their grammar skills. I wished the game would include more parts of speech like comas, tenses, and compound sentences. I feel it does a great job highlighting the keywords to match the parts of speech, so it can be useful for those who are struggling with a particular section. Also, at the bottom of each level, there is a word remain box to indicate the exact amount of words they are looking for. I find this to be helpful because they can visually see if they clicked on all the examples. It is a great game to help children practice their skills more and assess if they understand keywords related to grammar in a sentence. Also, to identify them on their own while writing their own sentences.

Grammar Ninja sounded like a tool that would review several aspects of grammar. I wish it offered comma rules or at least independent/dependent clause identification. As far as I can tell, it just does parts of speech. It does provide three levels of difficulty, though. I liked that the site offers helpful clues/definitions to the students. I also like that the time commitment is minimal. It could be used as a quick formative assessment if your level requires mastery of this grammar concept.
