My Take

I love this for many reasons, but I find that it's great as a tool for conferencing and one on one workshopping of process writing. Our school day is so packed that oftentimes I don't have enough time during the day to work with students, so I can frequently meet up with them on Google Drive to review/help them with their work in front of both of us.

How I Use It

I use this to look at student drafts, to give feedback, to chat in real time about what I'm seeing that needs expansion or extra attention. I love that we can both see a document simultaneously together and edit it. It's a great way to work with small groups, too! Most of all, I like the way that it documents the process of writing in my classroom. I use it for all major papers.
