Community Review for Edmodo
My Take
I love using this with my students and have recommended it to several other media specialists as a tool for use at their schools as well. It provides an opportunity to communicate in a safe environment for younger students and allows for multiple resources to be posted and used by the students. Although I don't use it for testing and quizzing, Edmodo does offer this component for teachers.
How I Use It
I am the media specialist at an elementary school. We are using Edmodo as a tool for communicating and posting special announcements and information for our morning news broadcast. Edmodo has allowed us the opportunity to become completely paperless. I can communicate with the news crew through posting announcements in a social media feel. The environment is safe and limited to users included in the group with a group code. Edmodo allows posting of multiple media formats including Word, Excel, PDF, and Video clips.
