My Take
The app is helpful as a support to instruction. I don't think I could base a lesson around the app necessarily but if it is there to supplement students can benefit from it. What this app has going for it is that it is quick and easy to use. The students can find a definition in less than a minute. I will use it a lot more if it can thread seamlessly into my lessons.
How I Use It
I teach commercial art and I often stress the importance of communication in art. I teach students that the words they use have impact and it's important to know the meaning of the word you are using. The more words they know the more accurately they will be able to express themselves. It creates a higher level of precision in communicating. The better they know how to communicate the better they can incorporate that into their illustrations.
