My Take
I think this is an incredible teaching tool. The fact that it adds live titles to your finished product is a game changer. The live titles allows you to have captioning on all of your videos. There are so many creative things you can do in various curricular areas with this app. It is easy to use, has many features and students can start creating videos within minutes. I have actually gone into classes and showcased the features in about 10 minutes, and while I was showcasing the features, the students were already creating videos. We recently held a Clips contest for some schools in our state and the results were amazing. Very fun and creative videos.
How I Use It
I have used Clips for a variety of projects and with many students. This iOS app allows you to capture video and photos and create and share your video. There are several features that really make this an incredible app to use for storytelling or creating video content. One of the best features of this app is the ability to record live titles. I wasn't really sure what this meant at first, until I used the app and was in awe. Live titles put captions for you automatically on anything you say in your video. This is incredible and is a game changer. To be able to seamlessly add captions to videos we create is critical. It also allows the live titles to be done in other languages.
In addition, the app has fun posters, stickers, labels, selfie backgrounds, animated emojis and other features that make it pretty neat as well. This powerful, free app allows students of all ages to tell creative stories and share their knowledge in a variety of ways.
